No it isn't, a Katana is a style icon. This is just the Italians designing a bike then wanting it to go for more than a month with out needing fixing.
Not worth the money as a bike. But people pay silly money for ornaments..........
If I had the money............... It wouldn't go on one of these.IMHO

Totally opposite view from me!!! I love it and if it came up again in a couple of months time when I might have a bit of spare cash then I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
However, it's not a kat in any way!!

What makes it more of an ornament is what looks like wide 16" wheels, don't think there's tyres made for them anymore.

Read that in practical sports bike this month letters page.........did think wow this means Ducatis et all will do even less miles and still MOT because the rubber will perish, bummer.
I'm sure tyres of those sizes will be able to be sourced it is just our tyre importers don't bring them in as it isn't financially prudent for them.
Either way anyone who buys this or a Ducati of similar vintage will have to shell out extra.

and you are right - it's not a Katana - but nor is it a style icon either. So what is it? It's a supremely engineered, bloody fast motorcycle that handles. Quality costs.
