Help! After buying the Ventura pack rack, sports rack and grab rail off ebay for the 1100 Kat I have ordered the rails from ventura only to be told they are made to order and will be 6-8 weeks - that isn't going to help for EK6! @£?#! - why couldn't the website mention this?

I did see that the club has some rails that need to be welded but I have no welder so that is tricky and I just wanted something that could be bolted on with no hassle really (no time to faff about at the mo). Time i paid to get welded and power coated the price would be much the same as the Ventura ones.

I did read in the last issue of the Pride (to prove that is gets read here) that Andy Clark was thinking of getting some made up in stainless steel by a mate from a set of club ones. I wasn't sure who Andy Clark was on here to ask if he did get some made, were they a good fit and does his mate want to earn something for another set?

Or maybe someone has a set to sell or borrow?

Else I'll threaten to turn up on the VStrom... 'cause I aren't going to get all my stuff on the kat.

Hi I'm Andy,
Got the Kat in tomorrow to get Ventura rails welded, I've had a rethink about the stainless, not too sure it will look right so I'm not going ahead.
Still unsure about wether to get powder coated in silver or black, too many decisions

Hello - Thought it might be you but not sure. Thanks for letting me know. I hate decisions as well! Well Blix is lending me some and I'll buy a set of my own next year now I guess.

I'd probably go black on a standard bike, as the (Ventura) racks are black as well.
