Have you imported from Germany?!

Just been looking at what seem like reasonably priced 650 Kats in Germany via the web (mobile.de) and wondered if anyone has gone to the trouble of going over? There are some examples which look to be in 'good' condition going for around 700 euro's or less.. especially with the current exchange rate it does seem tempting compared to some examples advertised over here.

cheers

Andy

if you want a 650, buy jmacs, its an absolute steal and an historic machine. certainly the earliest 650 in the uk, possibly anywhere, and as it had lived indoors in a college till about 2 years ago, its done practically no miles and is as close to a new bike as you will find anywhere in the world.

There is also a very good 650 here Manchester in members classified. For £700 with Mot to a member.

I have imported from Germany. Anywhere in the world is basically the same.

Make sure you have the log book ......it can be done without but easier.
Get bike MOT'd on frame number, get insured on frame number , take all paperwork to local DVLA office at appointment time. ....pay 6 months tax and reg fee... Wait for age related plate
You do not need to change clocks and headlamp ....but most do So add that to cost.

They may ask to inspect the vehicle for frame number etc.... Depends on agent.

£500 plus collection plus £44 tax £25 mot , reg fee £60 ish. Realistic cost more than you can buy on here.
