Want to show ....

Post by fossie » Sat Feb 02, 2019 2:41 pm

So I needed to phone our work bike mechanic this morning to get him to fit new pads to the Bandit as they are metal to metal....errrrr ain't got any in stock :o Checks the other 2 bikes in the garage ....yep the same...  Bol**cks eh?
Well no as it 'appens....I phone Suzuki Bolton ...yep in stock..right I'll come up in a bit..
So out with the 650/1100 Kat :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :P
While there spoke to manager about my predicament ( the company want to renew the fleet ...with *****king *onda NC,!        :!: have they learnt sod all????). Get our manager to speak to him and a fleet deal is possible on a DL or SV :D :D :D :D .

BUT also the "New Katana " will be at the show in Manchester 23/24 March and he would like a proper Katana on the stand along side it. Let's be honest mine aren't show standard ......However yours may be ....want to show yours and get free entry I should imagine. Come on someone must be up for it...
I reckon even a 400 in the Bolton area would be interesting ....( didn't mean Jimmys by the way) ;)

I’m up for that and my bike is quite clean  plus it’s a real Kat and not a boat anchor
It will give me the kick up the backside to get the top end sorted.
There rubbish them Jap bikes lad they won't last five minutes! you want to get yourself a nice Royal Enfield!

Now that is really poor an SD fairing , US Forks, Chrome exhaust!!
We can do so much better!! Yep borrowed silver tank is the way forward.

Some flyers and we'll get the word out there aswell.

On another note ...almost sod all to do with this ......today had to fit the pads to the work Bandit....f**k now I remember why I hated the 400 brakes, 4 pot tokico .now with added abs!! 80's pads with rubber boots , g clamp slowly squeeze back, fit new pads bolt on. 15 mins
Modern pads ... toothbrush, brake cleaner, repeat , repeat , get all 4 pots back using piston tool, refit and hope all 4 Pistons move together   1 hour +

Ok I’ve phoned fossie’s contact and it seems the new Kat won’t be displayed on their stand after all. However Robinsons of Rochdale will have one on their stand and they are VERY keen to have a real Kat on display alongside the new one. They also asked would they be able to display mine at their shop the Friday before the show as they are having an open day with the two Kats being their centrepiece. They have assured me the bike will be roped off away from the public and will have a bouncer on site to “bounce” offenders
I sent the shop manager Graham some photos and he even asked if I was selling it :o
So it looks like all systems go, if there are any further developments I’ll post them on here.
