Alexandre in some other correspondence reminded me that it's 40 years since the Cologne show unveiling next year but with EK9 in 2020 being in France that might be hard to do another 40 Years celebration meeting. In retrospect, had we thought of that when deciding the next EuroKat, having EK9 down near the Target Design offices would have been a good choice maybe.

Anyway, here's an out there idea...
EK9 in the Dordogne, ride across from there to the Target Design Offices for another couple of nights (about 650 miles), then back to the Channel crossing (around 550 miles). Assuming we can get a lot of the Germans interested as well, then that would be a large group of Kats going France to Germany!

Maybe another option is the German Treffen to be down that way and make that a 40 years celebration (though a little early)?

Obviously we need Alexandre and Pedda involved if we can get some interest?

An idea to think about or not bothered?

I would be interested in that, aiming to get to EK9 any way and hoping that there is no requirement for me to head back home in a hurry.

So extending the trip would be an option

1800 m round trip from Caen, now that idea about renting a lorry & putting all the bikes in the back.......

european tour. isnt that what the katana was designed for? im in although its dependant on my on call rota and the dates not clashing with other commitments.
renting the lorry also depends on then getting a minibus for all the people, might be cheaper to just ride them!

The last German treffen was south so the next is North.
WE didn't decide where the EK is ...the French did!

It will depend on which channel crossing you are using.

Obviously I will ge going to EK from France as in Loire/Normandy so that will add days and 00,s of miles to visit an office block.....like being at work really.

yeah i know, but its been 28 years, surely they cant bear a grudge for that long.....
