Parking light
Re: Parking light
Well, it's not part of the MOT test so I guess it's not a legal requirement, I get caught out sometimes when locking my bikes up and turn round to see the headlight on because I've turned the key too far!

Re: Parking light
As far as I know there is not a legal requirement. I have the MR2 mod headlight on the Kat and did not bother with the Parking/Marker light at the front. Not been an issue at MOT time.
If it lights are fitted they have to work, so removal of indicators on the Kats is not a problem as they were not, at the time of manufacture, a legal requirement. the same goes for the front brake light switch.

Re: Parking light
If you have the option to use it on your bike it has to have one. The easy way to get round this is to block the key from being able to move to the parking position. Or if you have a handlebar switch with a parking position then block the switch from moving to parking position. I had to do this for a mot on my kat.
This might be bollocks, as the MOT tester was a picky dickhead.

Re: Parking light
Yep if switch shows a side light position you must have one ...however if the headlamp has none fitted it can't be tested.
Easiest thing is paint out the s markings on the switch.
