Out on Beezlebitch yesterday

Had a cracking ride out on the bitch yesterday. Cold but sunny and dry. Another 150 trouble free miles on the odo
I’m finally reaping the rewards of all the skinned knuckles and swear fests I’ve put in getting the motor up to scratch. This bike is going nowhere anytime soon which is a bit of an about face from when I first got her. I’m enjoying riding it now 8-)

Took Skruffy Kat out for a short run on Friday afternoon. Had a bit of an issue with flooding carbs but fired up and was running well. :D :D

I have the opposite problem to you Jim. If I leave the bike for a couple of weeks without using it (quite often) I have to switch the fuel tap to prime or it takes a good few spins on the starter before she fires up. The fuel must evaporate away?

This common with all gravity fed carbs nowadays ..what constitutes as petrol being the issue.
As a natural action nowadays prime for a 30 seconds or so then apply choke and starter is the norm.
Super unleaded makes the left time less , but just another quirk of owning a classic I suppose.

I had both issues. After a couple of weeks lay up it needs to go to Prime to fill the carbs. Then every now and then it floods as the float needles are sticky!
A bit of carb cleaner down the fuel line usually sorts it

Try Profi Fuel-max. It works
