IT'S ONLY TEMPORARY

Well, another project arrived:
I now have two GT200 X5s, so I should have enough parts (and a crucial V5) to make one good one.
The garage is full so something had to give:
I promised Nicola that the TS would be out of the dining room as soon as the X5 is finished! Or summer comes and I can put it in my leaky shed.

My wife would kill me.
I used to do that pre Cassidy now the only wrenching I can do indoor is putting together crap from Wafair.

Yeah the same here, I can have as many bikes as I want so long as no part of them enters the house... fair enough I suppose.
I had an X5 from 2013 to 2016. I bought it from a dealer (ouch) who said it was fully restored including full engine rebuild, but after it wouldn't start, I took it a apart and found the engine hadn't been touched internally (way to much carbon on the pistons etc plus they were a pattern one side and Suzuki the other) and the issue was the centre oil seal. Anyway I got some money back but not enough as it turned out to cover the rebore and crank rebuild. Nice little bike but the RD200DX I had back in the 80's was better!
How is the TS185? It looks mint, so good work there.
As I've sold my TZR250 I have a gap in the garage and some cash burning a hole in my pocket!!! I sort of fancy a TS185 or TS250 (prefer earlier type rather if possible - keep meaning to have a 70's trial bike everytime I watch "On Any Sunday"!)) keeping it Suzuki and also a couple of my moped mates this way already have a Kawasaki F7 and early Yamaha DT250.
So if anyone knows someone thinking of selling one maybe let me know.
Thanks
UB

The TS is great fun. Obviously, I spent far too much time and money on it, but it is a keeper.
I think the 250 is a fair bit heavier, which may negate any power increase. But the pre-ER 185/250 models are good lookers in my eyes.

my mrs doesnt mind me having a bike in the house, my bsa is on the sideboard and my side table is a kat engine, theres a couple outside, her suzuki, my beemer and an ancint honda twin festering away behind the shed, then theres the small shed with an old bsa and a yam v twin plus pushbikes, and the big shed with all the kats and other brit iron. one day im hoping to have a kat hung on the lounge wall but its probably going to cost me a kitchen to get permission....

I built my TR500 race bike in the back bedroom which at the time also held my lathe, milling machine and all my tools
All are now housed in my workshop

I built my Benelli 750 Sei in my sisters bedroom. She had left home 6 years before, but fate decided that she returned as the bike was nearing completion.
Understandably, she told me to get it out of her bedroom ASAP.
I told her I couldn't move it before the exhausts (all six of them) had been fitted. And I couldn't afford them at the present time.
So I took her to Speedscene in Huddersfield (then a Benelli importer / dealer) and she purchased a full set of used pipes for me.
She got her bedroom back, and I didn't have to fit the 6-1 system that I already had in the garage.............

I have a two car garage and my car is tiny (for America) and Wifie parks on the street, so I have quite a bit of room for my cycles, down to two now, gave two away. Sharings caring.

That takes me back! Was a student at Huddersfield Poly in the early ‘80’s. Riding my Ducati 450MkIII and later the Plastic Maggot.
We used to pop into Speedscene to drool over the Benelli 6’s
