After Fred doing lots of swapping cleaning and swearing it was running on 4 cylinders.
After trapping my thumb between the handlebar and the tank and later “Having a moment” doing a feet up U turn in road junction, 16” front wheel. I have come to the following conclusion:
A 1980’s GSX with CV carbs, a butchered airbox (not by Fred) and a Harris 4-1 runs a rough as a badger’s AR53.
There is a total lack of low rpm torque, a massive step in the power deliver when you don’t need it. and it grumble’s and complains all the time.
It’ll be fine, let’s GO!
