Or just the old fashioned oval sticker but with UK in it.

The GB sticker ..monika on your number plate becomes illegal and you need a UK one

This change was done at the request of the UK government.
Everybody in Europe recognises GB stickers already, a completely unnecessary change.
I’ve seen reports on ex-pat forums of people being mistaken for coming from Ukraine. UA in case you wondered.

The reason being because ...people recognise GB as England , Scotland and Wales but we can't say Ireland anymore because it is according to EU 2 sepreate countries , so United Kingdom covers England, Wales , Northern Ireland , and Scotland ....until Nicloa. Finally .. gets her way!

Funny you say the Ukraine thing Sam ..a few years a mate went on a fly drive holiday to the states ...
After a while booking in the young lady behind the desk said "you speak very good English, did you learn it in school?" Obviously he replied that he'd learnt it at home and school and while we're at it a compact is a women's makeup case! After a further exchange it seems the UK on his photo licence, (yep we've always had UK on our driving licences ever since we joined the EU and our paper licences were deemed not good enough )
Was thought to be Ukraine.!
