Never such an item myself , but we have a riveter you could borrow in the tool store .

I have a Kellermann chain rivetter/remover. It's a quality tool (totally O/T, but if you like prog rock and quality, check out the band Tool, it's all good but I really like the track Forty Six and Two) but the torque values for for deforming the ends are way out. I contacted them and they said it depends on the chain brand. You have to experiment a bit and go through a couple of links.

For a 'Busa, I would take it to a mechanic of known quality, or a franchised Suzuki shop. You don't want that fucker letting go at 180 MPH (best I managed on a 'Busa, M11, clear of traffic on a weekday, about 175MPH indicated).

I forgot to say, the GSX1300R is my favourite bike. If I wasn't so weak now, I would have another one.

Thanks for the photo, that is so nice. Love that blue colour, think I may respray the Buell in that.

My rides were on the original GSX1300R, so the later ones (esp the newest one) are probably even better.

Interesting, haven't seen those before. If I didn't have a rivet tool I'd probably use it.

I can't see them being different from a Rivet really, as they are both just burring over the end part. Possibly the screw type, using a short spanner is possibly slightly better at not doing over tight.

I have used one a very long time ago on my kat. Had no problems with it coming undone. They would not supply them with the chain if they didn't work

I like your confidence in the skills of your fellow man (or woman). Having worked in the bike trade for a long time, I am not so sure.
