Living in a small town like I do is considered sometimes boring, for obvious reasons. But I‘m loving it. You know your neighbours well, your butcher, baker, craftsman. And your postman. And they all know you.

Very good if Pat finds a postcard from Sherinhgam in his bag, adressed just to Pedda & Tanja, Street without house no. 😂

Challenge accepted, job accomplished.

Thank you for your friendly words, Jim.

so the challenge is how little of your address do we write on a postcard for it to still get to you?

That is an advantage of living in a small town. I live in a very small village (about 550 houses). We have no shops, the pub closed down. But the postman does know all of us, which is just as well, as I live in School House, my neighbour in The Old School and 100 metres away is School House Farm, which isn't a farm, just the old farmhouse now.

Packages get mixed up when courier firms deliver!

Yeah, so more of a challenge than advantage then… 😁

It is to do with the way the address is in Germany ....we put the house number first as its the important bit ...however the Germans put the number last..to be honest the more logical way...find the street then the number ...
The French however don't go for either ...especially now they are suppling numbers to all properties as they roll out fibre broadband to all remote places ....
My gaff was easy to find just a house name ( which was the same 4 others in the same commune as they were once the same farm area). & a village which is on the other side of the main road ....postie knows / knew everyone. Never a problem. NOW the road( farm road) has a name and numbers ...mine is 70 , the next property on the same side is 500 metre's away and is 2750..
That's going to be challenge !

I thought I had all the address on it!

My Father in Law was a Postie in Sheringham for many years and we know most of the current Posties….

…….they enjoy a challenge :D :D

Pretty quick delivery as well it would seem.
