Yes, what H says - and fairy liquid has a name: WD 40. ;)

Spray the wd40 on a rag and smear it round the inside of the inlet rubbers, then get a tiedown strap and put round the back of the carbs then round the front of the engine, ratchet it up with one hand and keep the carbs in line with the other. easiest way to pop them on :)
