Would suit your engine. But they seem to be quite heavily used by the look of it, just well cleaned. No wonder when they're off a drag bike.
Doesn't say much about slides wear...

My 1325 has 33mm RS smoothbores on 'H' and opinion seems to be that they're fine for the road as they're smoother in their delivery. Also big gixxer carbs work well on these (ask johnr) for road use.
But ultimate power requires bigger and so I've also got a set of 40mm flatties for when (if....ever ) I get it going again and get used to the thing. Also I'd like to do some sprinting so they're better for that.

big carbs are a compromise, a set of huge flatslides or smoothbores can give superb performance on the strip or track, but the payoff is poor off throttle performance, lack of a reliable tickover, poor running when not being thrashed and shocking fuel consumption. if you can handle this then fine, but if 99% of your riding is on the roads, sunny weekend trips out blasts to rallys, popping to rivvy or chelsea bridge/devils bridge/squires cafe etc etc, then youre making some serious compromise on the off chance that you might encounter a drag strip on your way to tesco. rece carbs look and go great, in their own arena, but the same reason that you dont see stock cv's on race bikes applies with race carbs on road bikes. if all you care about is max bhp on the dyno, then go ahead, but everyone ive known who fitted big race carbs to a road bike has gone back to something more street oriented after a while.

so what "road carbs" should i look at

38mm gsxr/bandit etc

will these shove enough fuel through if i "open it up a bit"

38mm as you say as they're fairly plentiful. 40mm if you can find them. Or 33mm RS smoothbores if you find a set at a good price.

I have a (admittedly old now) dyno sheet showing 133bhp for my 1325 with 33mm smoothbores, sadly no torque curve but it loooooads.

i still think the flatslide cvs fitted to the gsxr750/1100 models are the best compromise for the kat motor if its to be used on the road.
