when you take the diaphragms off and then take the float bowl off, the main jet screws into the end of the emulsion tube. unscrew the main jet partly, but not all the way, then gently, with the handle of the screwdriver, tap the main jet as though you are tapping it back into the carb body. if you look in the carb venturi, where the slide and needle were, you will see that the emulsion tube(and the plastic housing that the slide goes into) will be protruding. unscrew the main jet a bit more, then tap it back till you cant screw it in any more. then gently using long nosed pliers, pull the emulsion tube out of the top of the carb. along its length you will see holes that should be clear and you should be able to see right through to the other side. i find that soaking them in vinegar cleans them up nicely, though coke also is acidic enough to work too. its also worth checking the o rings that sit at the bottom of the carb slide guides as they can become brittle and crack with time.

Thanks Blix PM sent. ;)

Thanks a million John for all that explanation, I did not take those emulsion tube off and not the housing neither. I was actually wondering how, now I know.

I will see if it does work tomorrow if not then I will know what to do next weekend, I am a bit sick to have to take those carbs out, but I suppose everytime I am doing it it gets quicker.

Thanks Mick I got it.

So the bike goes above 100 km/h now, but I am still not fully convince I will be leaving late work when the cars are gone.
So I will give a good blast on the motorway on the way back I will see if it hold.

I found that maybe the cold start is not as great with the new inside of the carbs, I will I will have to see for few days.
I don't need to push which is great to start of.
