GS-650 v GS-850 Shaft gaiter

Post by G0FHM » Thu Feb 21, 2013 1:08 pm

Guys,

Having spoken to B&B in Lincoln, they tell me that the GS-650 transmission to swingarm gaiter is no longer available - but the GS-850 is. They haven't got any in stock to be able to measure for me.

Has anybody used an 850 unit for a 650 successfully?

Ta,

J

No one has ever needed to transplate a Suzuki shaft ,'cos they are so reliable so I doubt a trnsplant has taken place but it can't be that different , infact I'm suprised they are different part numbers.

Thanks chaps...

I did see a new one in the US somewhere last week, brand new. Not that many $$ to but, but when I worked out the postage, it was £47!!!

Smeg that for a game of soldiers! :-)

Thanks Steve,

Just bought the cheaper one :-)

Looking at his shop, he has a some black handlebars off of a 550. I'm assuming they are the same on the Kat?

Have 2 sets of bars here, both chrome - one set are like cow horn bars, and the others are definately wrong, as the splines where the clamps hold it are in the wrong place!

Thanks, will get them in the morning.

The both sets of chrome bars look silly!
