Alternative rear shock for my pop

Post by harriskat » Tue Apr 23, 2013 8:33 pm

Does anybody know if a shock out of a newer bike will fit in my pop up????? Was gonna have one off cally but would cost 125 + vat to get it serviced so other avenues must be done. A part used one out of a newer model bike is prob best first option. if nothing else then it will have to be a new one

750 es/ef will fit and 1100EFE should fit, not sure you'd find a good one though.
Nokatanayet fitted a Ducati shock, there was a thread on here about it, you might find it with a bit of searching.

I did a search but couldn't see anything. And dont want to fit one from the same era surely suzuki who have loads of interchangeable parts must have summit on a newer bike. May be old method of measuring lots of different shocks

that version of the suzuki full floater wasn't used after the eighties, newer stuff run a different type o linkage and a shorter shock, 330mm is quite a long shock.
