Sprocket carrier options ?

Post by Pop-Kat » Mon Feb 21, 2011 10:04 pm

I have a gsxr1100L rear wheel and arm that i'm (slowly) putting in my popup, would a 750/1000/1100 (think they're all the same) sprocket carrier fit the gsxr wheel and spindle size ? has anyone done a similar mod ?
The popup has the same measurement at swingarm pivot at approx 226-8mm..

If memory serves me right, the sprocket carriers are swappable.

Cheers Pedda, might take a punt on it then, looked on that other thread about rear wheel swaps and you said on there that you used the kat carrier on a bandit12 rear wheel, i reckon the 1100L wheel must be very similar (just curved spokes i think)...

Be aware that some of the early 750 slingshots had a 5 segment cush drive whereas the others (later 750 and all 1100) had a 6 segment cush drive.

I'm using a 5.5'' wheel. I'm looking at getting a gs500 rear sprocket carrier as recommended by a few people. Problem is, there seem to be a lot of different models spread over a number of years. Which one should I look for?
thanks
Liam
