anyone tried this or the equivalent?

loom tape as i need to open, clean and re-wrap mine soon. i've usually used the non sticky (or sticky when desperate... lol) black stuff on a roll but thought this may be worth a shot. somehow looks more professional ;)

I have used the non-sticky stuff before and got good results from it. But that stuff certainly looks like it should do the trick.

As you say using normal insulting tape is desparation because you know it is going to fall off later leaving a gooey mess behind
