Might explain the poor running.

inside of tank doesnt look toooooo bad.

question - can i leave it as it is and fit a inline filter?

or was thinking of doing the vinegar thing with a load of bolts or the elec thing with the battery and copper tube.

What you reckon?

If that's just surface rust and not loose then an inline filter will be fine, just make sure you still get a good fuel line routing when you fit the filter.

Is there a filter inside connected to the fuel tap ?, if so remove the tap and clean that also.

Hi Mal, yeah taken the fuel tap off already and cleaned the filter ;) It wasnt that bad either.

Think I might slosh some more petrol around and empty it, just to get what loose bits are left out.

Was going to stick some nuts and bolts in there as well, but a bit worried about the fuel level rod and float getting damaged.Dont really want to take them out.

Cheers

If you fit an inline filter get a small, I mean tiny neodymium magnet they are very strong, and stick it to the filter. this will catch all the rust that is insolution with the petrol and stop it getting into the carbs. ;)
