b12 motor into 750 kat frame advise

Post by B2BC » Mon May 26, 2014 3:10 pm

hi im currently dismantling my efe/b12 and transferring it into a 1982 750 kat frame does anyone have any diagrams/drawings of engine mounts ect
im wondering if the mounts on kat frame are same as my efe dont want to drop engine out of efe just yet unto kat frame is ready for powdercoating, will be using a stripped b6 motor as rough idea for engine not much difference between them.
been told efe lump drop straight into kat frame??? so going of that , im guessing all the mounts i made for b12 engine to fit into efe should be the same and bolt onto kat frame???

EFE lumps fit right into a Kat frame - with Kat mountin plates. That does not necessarily mean that EFE mounting plates must fit, obviously, but worth a try.

I have some sketches of plates, but you just need to have a closer look at the lower ones as I can't tell if these are for 7.5 or 11 frames.

Ah, here's the 7.5 frame lower. And the adaptor you'll need between headers and head
