Pop up front end

I have a second pop up that I need some ideas for a rebuild. It's more or less all there and was bought as spares for my other. But it's too complete not to make road worthy.

Forks need rechromed, so instead I'm wondering what's the easiest 17" conversion ?

Other than that, I'm thinking ditching the gold and going all black...
