GSX750 s1 fork oil?

Post by wraith » Mon Jul 20, 2015 6:17 pm

Hi all,
Dose anybody know how much fork oil to put in the gsx750s1 forks, I was told it was 300ml but that amount comes right upto te top of the fork leg.

Any ideas of how much there should be?

Cheers.

Hi Wraith.

I replaced the springs in mine with Hagons.

They came with info that is the same as in the manual (Suzook and Haynes) that suggest 227 ml or an air gap/level of 221mm.

I did an article in one of the club newsletters about the swap.

I also went up a grade in oil viscosity as per The Flying Banana

Measurement is from top of forks to oil level no springs and forks compressed

Forks are good as you'd want without heading for Maxton's

Hope this helps
