A friend of mine has given to me for free a 1983 GS550MZ.
The bike is in excellent condition but he has lost the carbs. The issue was that the carbs have had gas leak so he removed to fix them, time passed he lost his job,no cash so he gave the bike just have some free space in parking place.
I have bought a set of carbs from Holland (L model) but i have damaged the second carb when i tried to remove the salt that was build outside it.
A chemical store suggested me to use hydrochloric acid to remove the salt, but the body got burned after one minute inside the acid.
I have found another one set but it is not from 550MZ,it;s from 550L and i am a bit confused about that.
Some internet data reports that MZ uses 34mm carbs, but others reports that it uses 32 like L models does.
Is there anyone who knows for sure what type of carbs MZ uses?
Is there any guy who sells any carbs here?
Thanks in advance

Yep 650 carbs are the same .GL carbs are basically the same but jetting different because of the naff 16"" rear wheel.
The model letters for 550 are MX, MZ. BUT 650 GX, GZ, GT.. Will all fit.
