pop-up ignition barrel

A while back someone posted about replacing the ignition switch whilst keeping the original key barrel...

I could do with doing the same but now can't find the post.

Got one on eBay for £35.40 posted.
The electrical part is easily removed, just 1 screw, so I'll only replace that and keep my original key.
