Valve stem seals
I’m going to replace the valve stem seals when I do a top end overhaul this winter. I’ve noticed grumpy1260 sells super duper Viton seals and was wondering if these are ok or should I go mad and buy gen Suzuki? I’m trying to keep the wallet damage to a minimum

There rubbish them Jap bikes lad they won't last five minutes! you want to get yourself a nice Royal Enfield!

Re: Valve stem seals
If you’re looking at keeping the bike long term go genuine, after market should last a few years but will give up a lot sooner. Racing seals only need to last a season.

no, get gen valve stem seals. the viton ones are advertised as 'racing seals' which means that whilst they can cope with super high temps, they will only last a couple of seasons before they need replacing as race engines get stripped a couple of times a year. genuine seals are the best bet, also gen clutch plates are the best too.
