Super unleaded
Does anyone know how long super unleaded lasts before becoming unusable?

Re: Super unleaded
I’ve had E5 Super Unleaded in the tank over winter on both Skrufly Kat and my Speed Trip and not had any problems. Think it’s because it was Esso stuff which may be very low ethanol content.

Re: Super unleaded
It really depends on where it is stored , as in a place that gets warm and cold a lot etc .
But generally it should be fine over a season....although it may seem a bit lacking at first .
Best drain out float bowls first if if has been stood ...then prime ....it works for my 650 that is left in a stable for months at a time .

Re: Super unleaded
It's just been in the tank on the bike probably 3 years maybe a little more. Suppose I'd best tip it out to be on the safe side!

Re: Super unleaded
If the new igniter doesn't solve it, that may be my next step. And stop calling me Shirley.

Re: Super unleaded
and you can aid things along by adding fuel stabilizer to the tank before parking up for winter. you can buy it online or from machine mart or agricultural/horticultural suppliers (they put it in gardening machinery thats not going to be used over winter). its not expensive, certainly cheaper than a carb rebuild.
