I know this isn't your problem, but always make sure you use the correct hose for the vacuum hose. Suzuki use a thick-wall double skinned pipe for the vacuum, presumably to prevent collapse.

Problem solved ! the metal prong had been mangled & was the cause of the stiff tap operation, new original spec tap from Ebay & the problems solved.

Appreciate the info , I’d never have know the prong should have been present without it 👍
