Give Pedda a shout about chain length and the correct sprocket sizes, i think he's done the conversion a few times..

OOPS! Sorry Stubber!, No sign of red suzuki on Mudguard either ,but it;s been hacksawed as well!, can anyone else confirm?, thanks Arnica!, will PM Pedda re chainlength 630 stock 96?=530? anyone?,bike is polishing up well, engine is sweet, bit of tarting-up frame,+black bits required,chainguard+mudguard need replacing!, c+s kit ,... rear m/cyl overhauled-new pads+seal kit ordered!,will try to get photos of bike posted soon!, Stubber?,-going to Leadburn inn thursday night?(weather permitting!) thanks again to all for advise/help.

What is the chain set sizes you actually have on your bike? Sprockets, chain links?

Wow!,how quick was that?,..stock 1100sz gearing 15? x 42 x 630 96 links,would like to fit 17x48x530?,to maintain near as stock gearing as possible? any advice gratefully recieved!, cheers Pedda!,...........Ian.

630 pitch is 3/4"
530 pith is 5/8"

Pure maths say:
630 sprocket 15 T is physically the same as a 530 18 T
630 rear 42 T the same as 530 50 T
In both cases thecircumferences of the sprockets are the same except for a few tenth of a millimeter.
You'll need 115 links then
