Re: 1100 Performance engine rebuild
OK on the EFE, I think in the US we only had them from 82 to 83, The 82 for us was unpainted and the 83 was black, is the EFE the black one? Or did it live on past 83 in the UK?

Re: 1100 Performance engine rebuild
You’ll know it as the GS1150 from 1984 on
Had variants as the E, EF and EFE depending upon the fairing fitted.
Over here often called the “Effy” despite usually referring to the E which was the un-faired version
ES had the top half fairing and the EF had the full fairing

Sorry, efe cams are a quick gain, for maybe £125. £300 ish is for highlight cams. Only a rough guide.

Re: 1100 Performance engine rebuild
Just for clearance ..
..the 1100 ES, was Nothing like the EFE..., it was an earlier model, but they came as models engines etc changed , but Suzuki designation is by years . It is very confusing , but at this time the ES 550/750 range got monoshock , but the 1100 retained twin shock, with the same bodywork as the 750.and the old GSX 1100 engine from Kat or EZ model.....however later in that year the EFE was released/ unleashed with full fairing or E which was naked...but also the engine 1135
Part of the mix up is Japan registration year is January to January but ours was August to August .

Re: 1100 Performance engine rebuild
Yep , your correct the 84 ES You picture here looks nowt like the older ES like I said but this is the confusion we didn't get this model though there was a long period when both were on sale side by side due to stock levels .

Re: 1100 Performance engine rebuild
Just to add to the confusion wasn't the 1135cc bike also called GS1150 in the States?
