hows the ignition on the bike pete? have you checked that the auto advance retard hasnt stuck? this would have the effect of making the ignityion too advanced or too retarded and thus make it run lumpy and hot. take the r/h side cover off, with the engine off, grab the rotor in the centre of the ignition, and give it a twist, the rotor shuld turn about an 8th of a turn, and should snap back when you let go. if not, its stuck.

Plugs are new They look a bit too white to me. What does that mean ? too hot ? too lean ? too much information
