To be honest not too far out but it's like valves , slightly out is out.
It's the minutest touch to get them all correctly together .Have you got the correct tool for holding the screw in place while you tighten the lock nut.?
I have one you can borrow.

Although screwing the damping knobs on the balancing tubes all the way in makes them LOOK balanced!

They don't look bad at all.

If you've never done it before then have a go mate. If you just do a tiny bit at a time you'll see the differences it makes on the bank overall.
Like Fossie says don't tighten the damper screw down on the balancers as it gives a false impression, altho' needles wavering around are a pain. I use Morgan balancers as they're damped by design and are really easy to use.

cheers mate. think i will give it a go. What can go wrong eh :) the middle adjusting screw is in a right awkward place. Why do they design these things so that they are difficult to adjust :(

Just t annoy us Pete, well done on your synchro.

I have started the strip of the second hand carbs I got from ebay, I have 4 bloody bolt which don't want to move.

I decide it to leave until tomorrow before something break....

So did you go for a spin? Your carbs don't look so bad to me.

Watcha Arnaud, never done em before, so would like to see if i can get them a bit closer to each other. They seem to be balanced as pairs, but not all four together. Will have a go when i get that tool to get to the screw adjuster.

Those carb screws are a right pain sometimes. Try and get the right philips screwdriver on them. If not cut a nice slot for a flat blade screwdriver. They chew up dont they :(

Cheers

I got them the 3 little fecker!!!

After about 1 hour yesterday hammering drill and all, I end up this morning sawing it and in 15 min all out !!!

It is nice now, so I looked at the 4 carbs and they looks nice no cold start tube broken.
So I just need to strip them and refit.

For your synchro, yes they balance in pair and there is a middle screw to balance them 4 of them together.

As yours are really balance no need to turn the screw a lot it is very reactive, just follow the order and it will be absolutely fine.

Arnaud, you need replace with allen bolts instead of the screws. Lot easier to undo.

Cheers
