so Pete, How the staring is going ?
I rebuild the carbs for my kat, I did not put them in yet I would manage to sync them as I have a going away party later on.
I will leave some for next weekend so I will do the valve clearance.

I should be ok now Arnaud. Taking the throttle bracket off made enough room to get onto the adjuster. Will have a go at sync tomoz.
Cheers

I just ordered a new chain and 2 new shock for the kat from wemoto.
Let's hope I will get all of that for next weekend so I will be able to do it all, and having a spot on bike.
If I had put €1 into a jar everytime I pushed it over the last year I can tell you that I probably will be having a good fat jar by now.
Let hope the new carbs will get me the bike which i was hoping for about 1 year ago.

After all this, let's hope that the middle 2 carbs need adjusting!

TBH mate, they dont look that far out. But I have never done em before and would like to have tried and seen how to do it.
Am hoping that the middle adjuster is going to balance the 2 pairs together a bit.
Cheers

Hey Pete,
I would adjust the carbs so that 2 and 3 read the same. And 1 and 4 are drawing the same, but slightly more than 2 & 3
1 and 4 require a touch more vacuum as there is a slightly longer run from the air filter to the sample point for these 2 outer carbs.
As for the value, even the Suzuki service manual cannot give a value as the Suzuki genuine tool uses small balls below, and across a centre line
Haynes suggests removing the air filter and then balancing them all to the same value. And then repeating the exercise with the air filter in place and recording the values for your set of gauges. Just so you know for next time.
Confused?
You will be!
If I recall correctly No.3 is effectively fixed by the Throttle cable.
So from looking at that photo, adjust No. 2 to be equal to No.3
Then adjust 1 and 4 to be drawing the same amount of vacuum more than No.3
