No
But, you can fit one, by changing the oil filter cover for a GSX1100efe one.

No... EFE's had an oil cooler, they were not oil cooled, thats different, first oil cooled was the first gsxr750*
.
*Was probably done by the british bike industry many years before as with most bike technology, but here i'm just refering to the suzuki gsx derived engine

Correct, but usually by having oli run down the outside of the engine.

depends what cooler you get. i had onethat fitted perfectly between the air scoops under the fairing and was exactly wide enough to fill the gap completely.

Hi all, have finally taken delivery of my 1100 Kat and it has an "over size oil cooler" fitted as described by the original southern German owner. he fitted it because he also added, and then removed, a full fairing in the 90's. due to this he was not able to fit the lower standard fairing air guides, point is, maybe oil coolers were standard fit in warmer climes?

There were German companies which sold realy weired fairings for Kats, like Speer, Pichler or Gimbel. These fairings held off lots of cool air from the engine, so these companies reconned an additional cooling advice as good. Avoided people complaining about too hot engines.

The spare nose fairing I have is a Gimbel item along with some strange looking rearsets, luckily original footpegs and linkages are with the bike. Anyone interested in some Gimbel rear sets?
