They have an electronic tacho on the 750 and 1000/1100 Mick.
There is no where to connect a cable on you clocks!

You have to remove the complete tacho drive from the cam cover, then fit the plug ( along with the O ring and the retaining plate to where the drive used to live..............I guess you have an earlier ET moter which still had the mechanical tacho!

Check out alpha sports and see the difference between the GSX1100ET/EX ( 1980/81) and the GS1000sz (82) and you see what you need remove and what to replace it with!

Unless someone has retro fitted a tacho drive to it to use on another bike.

What does you Engine number start with?

If its a kat 1100 engine. The number stamped on the engine should start with: GS110X-******* unless its an import and then it'll be something like: GU72A-*******

Rermove the tacho drive............all of it!

Really confused now as the hole looks threaded so the plug still wont fit, inless that is part of the gear drive and comes out.

it all comes out... pul the cover off and dis-assemble. stick plug in with all it's bits n bobs... incl. o-rings and retainer plate!. replace camcover. use

then do it all again to replace the gasket that has now started leaking

or...

just leave it as it is and use bike as per normal. you wouldn't even notice it wasn't plugged
