hi nobody :D

thought i'd post this here as well just to start off this section

just spent couple of hours trying to get motor out of pinky without much success (all bolts and mounts out no prob, just can't get the lump out of the frame)

last time i was doing engine out stuff was on a gs750 approx 20 yrs ago,

is it just time and to much booze & fags making me a pathetic wimp or am i missing something obvious,

even tried laying frame down but that didn't work (well not before the rain came anyway)

does it only come out of one side, are there any extra bits that need removing (ie breather, a la gs 750) etc

any hints appreciated

H

sprocket cover gets in the way, and if you take the clutch cover off it will allow you to get a good hold on the motor without crushing your fingers!!!

we used to horn gsx1100 motors into gsx750 chassis, and gs1000 motors too,and efe motors into gs1000 frames etc-for an easy life clean the area all around where the coils mount, take the cam cover off,lay a rag over the open bits and roll it out the LHS of the frame,a bottle jack and blocks o wood help old backs...
