Changing/Rebuild shock absorber on Katana 400

Hi lads,

I am thinking about Rebuilding or changing the shock absorber on the Katana.

I rang up suzuki Ireland, the man in the part seems to be a bit off on the question. But apparently there is no spare available for the shock as they are discontinued.

So I am not sure how to be able to rebuild then, and at which cost. If somebody know a good place to get the job done. At least I could get a quote.

Otherwise I am think about going for one of those

I am wondering what the difference could be really between them.

Otherwise I am wondering my actual shock are not good anymore, they leaked and I think there is not any oil in them as the leak stop.
What difference would they be really with the pattern or the road one as it is only a spring isn't it?

I don't know now much about shock, so I am trying basically to see if there is any gain to have on fixing them or not?

If I go down the fixing them road, any chance I can borrow the club tool?

Cheers
Arnaud

Arnaud, the guy on ebay that sold the 400 Yoshi exhaust told me he has some other 400 parts including the shocks, might be worth contacting him.

If you go aftermarket then of those 2 you've listed go for the Hagon's, they're far superior to those others.
That's quite a good price too.

I need to contact that crow actually, it is not local and I am sure they would not mind selling you some crap stuff, and it is pretty dear too but I still need to contact them.
Thanks a million for the link.
I would love the original exhaust on it, maybe they have it.

So I need to get those shock absorber, as I need to get the chain I am thinking of getting everything in one go from wemoto, or else somebody knows a better place to buy some?

Last year I got tyres, and carbs for the kat, this year it looks like it is chain, shock, and carbs again.
Hopefully the noise in the engine would be to hard to me....

Hagon are good Arnaud, but they are expensive.

I would have a look on ebay and see what is around.Pick up something from another bike the same sort of size maybe ?
