Did the 11's have "foam filled" sprocket covers or was it the 750's

Noise reduction, you wouldn't have thought it'd make a difference, but at the euro demo in '92 they pushed a brand new diversion down strip to show how daft the then proposed noise restriction where,and it failed the meter test but just the chain noise, the engine was on on!

7.5 engines use the same foam filled covers.

also, back in the 1980s chain technology wasnt up with power technology, thats why relatively low powered (by modern standard) bikes like the kat had huge 630 chains to power them, and of course, if it snapped, you might want something to absorb the energy before it ripped your crankcases apart.

1000's foam filled too, recently degreased one lovely job
