Bleeding brakes

Put my new/old brake calipers on today. Having trouble getting pressure. Have bled system a couple of times but still not much pressure. Not getting any more air coming thru though.
Have read that sometimes you have to crack open the banjo bolt on the MC sometimes to clear air. Is that true ?

As a last measurement, yes. Before that push the brake pistons all the way back home to have all the air out there. Be careful with the fluid rising up in the reservoir doing that.

If all else fails , tie the lever back to the bar with the cap off and leave it, it'll self pressurise.

Did you shake the bottle of fluid before you started................if so the fluid will be full of minute air bubbles!
Do as fossie says and tie the lever back to the bars with a cable tie and leave it for a day and the air bubbles should rise up to to the highest point!
