550 panel lugs

Post by Nigelkat » Fri Oct 05, 2012 8:38 pm

Hi 550 owners help please.
both my 550 side panels have the rear mounting lugs missing, the ones that push into the frame mounted rubber gromet.
I have a plastex kit to make up some new ones but need to know how long they are?

Thanks

Nigel

Hi,

I did make the same procedure with my old Kat 400 side panels. Believe me, that stuck together so the fixtures were sufficiently reliable

50mm to the end point, 36mm to the shoulder of the "flat crossed Peg" thats contacts the rubber when fitted, thats off an undamaged panel.
