Starter idler thrust washers - have I lost it???

Just refitting the Starter idler assembly. I thought I'd check Haynes and it says there should be 2 thrust washers. On sites like cmsl it says one. It may be that Haynes is describing a different engine (mines a sz 750)
I only have one washer (quite thick more like a spacer) and although it was a month ago since I took it off, I don't think there was another. I've temporarily fitted it and it seems to fit right with just he one.
Have I lost one?
Thanks
Liam

Thought there was one behind it that is against the cases and one on the outside, against the cover?

Yeah, that's what Haynes says. Its strange though , I tried it with and without a washer behind the cogs and it lines up much better without. Looks like I'll have to add one to my 'bits I put somewhere safe and now can't find so I better order another one' list. Thankfully it's not too long at the mo.
Thanks
Liam.

Been searching the web and the diagrams seem to show 2 washers on 1000 and 1100 motors, and one on 750s. I thought these engines were largely the same externally?

I've had a look at my suzuki parts book for the 750 Boat Anchor*
And it clearly shows only one thrust washer/spacer, I seem to recall when I had the LHS of mine apart there was only one.
Although they look very similar there are significant differences (apart from the bleedin' obvious, before any one says it) between the 750 and the 1000/1100 engines.
Hope this helps

That's what I wanted to hear. Thanks. I can now torque up the bolts and summon up the courage to get going with the loom. I think I'd rather be looking for washers!
