Overall ignition testing for KAT 400

Hi lads,

As you know my kat 400 1992, is giving me some problem.
I would like to carry on some testing on the whole ignition system to ensure nothing is damaged.

I have a multimeter and some knowledge of basic electric.

I am planning to check for any short on all the ignition wiring.

I would like to test the coil, the stand contactor, and any other parts involve could you get me some pointer guys on value I am suppose to get ?
