What's this hole?

What's this hole?

Hi Guys,

On the tail end tubing of our 650, on the left hand side there is a raised bit of metal. My mate who welded the frame took a broken bolt out.

Any ideas as to what should should fit in to this hole? Helmet lock?

I'm pretty sure it's the frame handle/ grip for lifting on to centre stand. One end bolts on to your hole and the other goes over shock top mount. If you go on to CMSNL 's website you can go on the parts diagrams complete with the part no's. I've just checked out your pictures of frame and it's the grip hole!
