Painting wheels..

Is it ok to wipe them down with white spirit before painting my wheels? or should i use thinners or something?

I'd say thinners was better myself Pete.
They need to be grease,oil,dirt and dust free so anything that will 'flash' off and not leave a residue.

Hi and sorry for keeping silence for a long period:) What exact method of painting r u going to use? Due to the fact that the motorcycle wheels highly susceptible to corrosive substances, the most suitable method is powder coating.
