Tin doesn't say so I'm inclined to use primer first..... But it's all finished and its 18.29 on Sunday.... Nowhere open! So, I have VHt caliper paint and bare alloy calipers that are nice and clean and masked up ready to go.... Do I get some etch primer tomorrow or slap on the paint onto bare alloy.... Discuss :)

Cheers males n lasses ;)

My penny's worth says you require a high temp primer Steve.

I have never used primer with vht paint. Not had a problem. give it a light dusting first and then heavier coats.

Cheers guys... Think I'm going to go the no primer route and bake it in the oven. The can usually mentions primer /no primer needed but this doesn't so got me thinking... Possibly overly so :)

Thanks again...

I just got my rear one done in 2-pack by a local guy. As an aside he did say he can put any paint required (2-pack) into an aerosol for spraying yourself, which will be a more durable finish than shop spray paint. About £15 a can.
