hello all im having a spot off bother with my 750 on removing the pipes one was so stuckthat even after weeks of soking in oil heat etc three headers came out but the last one didnt the pipe gave way and left the header stuck in the head tryed more oil heat big hammers and even zaped it with arc welder with no luck there is no pipe left just the flange than fits into the head im out of ideas beside finding someone with a milling manchine or should i just look for a new head as after all its only a 750 any idears thanks dave

Would a Dremmel type of grinder be of any use?
You would need to be fairly careful when grinding out a couple of slots to collapse the remains of the header.

Don't often see 750 heads for sale as they tend to remain on the engine stuffed t the back of the shed.

I can only echo what Kryten has said. If you don't have a dremmel you could snap a hacksaw blade so you have a blunt end and use that. Maybe even an old chisel and carefully whittle it through.
But a dremmel would probably be your best friend here.

it would be tricky to mill out, if its cut off flush with the head, then the dremmel idea or hacksaw blade is best, make sure that exhaust valve is shut, shove a bit of rag up to protect the valve and guide, and carefully cut through the steel . when youre through, use a chisel and hammer and collapse the pipe inwards on itself. slow and carefull are the most important things, dont just bray away at it!

The swearing and skinned knuckles are usually all part of the process

yeah, sorry, perhaps we should provide a list of appropriate expletives to use in such a situation, my personal fave is 'ahhhhgoonyerfookinlittlebastafukinsoddingbugger' this quite often works, and as an extra bonus is very handy when you drop something heavy on your foot,,,,,
