Parts Number for a wiring loom

Hiya

After my "Bar-B-Q The Kat" evening (see The Bar - "Spontaneous Combustion), the insurance company have agreed to a rebuild. To keep costs down, I'm trying to source parts myself. Does anyone have the Suzuki parts number for the wiring loom? It's an '83 1100SD. Alternatively, does anyone know whether another models loom would fit - say a 750 Kat or an EFE, ESD?

Many thanks

No kat looms available... Robinsons and crooks both laughed at me a few years ago... Et is similar but the clock plugs and other bits are different and need to be changed... Seriously doubt you'll find a std loom anywhere. Option is to have a custom one made for anything between 5-800 or repair... Either way, it's a hands on job IMO...

I may have managed to locate a couple in mainland Europe, but I need the parts number to confirm them. I looked at custom - I'd rather do what you suggested & splice another loom in place. Would you have the ESD one you were talking about if needs be?

The number for the 750sd is 3661049300 it seems to be the same for quite a few bikes about that time inc gs1000 etc, but I don't know if its the same for the 1100, sorry.

750 and 1100 should be as close as damn-it... Oil pressure switch will be different as its taken of the filter cover on the 750and off the crankcase on the 1100... Not sure what else would obe different though...

I have the ESD loom you're welcome too if you need it and it'll help get it sorted ;) - its not fantastic but will have same coloured wires and connectors on it, or there abouts :)

Katana fiche for I have for the GSX1100SZ shows 36610-49300 or 36610-49310 for E22 (Germany) for the loom.

On the 1100SD fiche the same again for the Z but for E22 is also shown as 36610-49311. The 1100SD is shown as 36610-49330 and 36610-49340 for E22.

Hope that helps.

Just did search on Google for one of those parts numbers. I'm not sure what bike you have, but this link inplies that 36610-49330 is available from this USA site for $135.45 as it lets me add to a cart (assume that if you can add to cart they can get it?).

They might link to some central Suzuki USA database as it looks simlar layout to
http://www.dougreynoldssuzuki.com/fiche ... &fveh=2160
and
http://www.cycledesignonline.com/fiche_ ... daGKW20RRE

It's $125.78 from the last link!

There's a loom on Yahoo for not too much money but the seller doesn't know which model it's from
[urlhttp://page15.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/t309856576][/url]
He does say there's a code on the igniter Igniter engraved: 32900-45120

Maybe Drew (moriwaki-man) could help you (seller won't ship outside Japan) :(

This one looks very good condition & judging from the pics of the bike looks like an 84 SE so should be exactly what you're after???

Managed to locate an original NOS from a dealer in the States. The code number matches the one that I'd been passed earlier & Robinsons confirmed that it will fit the SD (which is what I have).

£148 including delivery - which I thought was more than reasonable. Quite a few dealers have it in stock, but won't do overseas shipping. And one wanted to charge more for delivery than for the loom! Just wait & see if it turns up now.

Thanks for all the advice - having the part number last night made the job a lot easier.
