The wooden end of a hammer and push the airbox from the inside, take out the air filter and go in through the big hole ;)

Hi Mickster

I made a tool see below.

The wooden dowel with metal tube fits inside the box.
Then I insert the rod, with the metal arm on the end against the frame cross member.

Tighten the nut to push the centre two rubbers on to the carbs.

I put a flat piece of wood across the two rubbers to spread out the load.

This has saved lots of time and frustration in the past.
