was reading a thing in PS magazine (july issue?) with the 650 in... it mentions that you should "check the rubber cups between the swingarm and frame that keeps water and road dirt out"... now mine didn't have anything on when i bought it and cmsnl doesn't show anything in their pics... so, are these a real thing or ? -

can someone with a 650 in one piece confirm or deny this for me please.... don't want to get mine back together to find out i need to remove the swingarm again :-/

cheers

The genuine suzuki bearings have rubber shields on them and cost about £55 each. You can get bearings without for £17 or less each without shields from a bearing shop. I bought koyo's(original manufacturer) for mine and was able to super glue the shrouds on after carefully pulling them off old bearings. I think fossie posted on here a while back about using unshielded bearings and replacing them a bit more often. Huge difference in prices and might not last any longer keep them clean a give a squirt of clear spray grease every now and again.
