Was just checking that the rear footpeg hoops John Martin kindly gave me would fit, and they seem an exact match

However......my bike was sold as a SZ and John says these came off his SD!!! Anyway...........Then John asked me to check the frame number and it turns out to be GU72B...... which as far as i can make out is maybe a USA frame ? Tried google but only seem to get Japanese stuff which doesnt translate well.
Any anoraks know the answer?
Pete

G - multi cylinder motorbike
U - 1000 to 1099cc
7 - 4 stroke, 4 cylinder,
2 - model version (first model say, the 1100sz, would be 1, sd would be 2, etc etc upto 9 then the letters abc etc are used if a model survives long enough)
B - model variation, a is used for the first generation full power model and then letters onwards are used for different models with either power limits or detail or trim variations for different markets. can be something as simple as reflectors or speedo diferences.

seems to indicate that you have an sd fame. do you have the solid rubber footpegs or the ones with ally bottoms and rubber tops?

easiest way to tell are the front engine mounts... if the bolts go all the way through... it's a sz... if they bolt on from the inside of the frame... its a sd... like yours
